Philips Foundation has awarded its 2026 Social Impact Award to Muso, recognizing its Rapid Care model for improving access to quality healthcare for women and children in underserved communities.

The award was announced at the MIT Solve Challenge Finals 2026 in New York, where global leaders convened for the United Nations General Assembly and New York Climate Week. This marks the first year of Philips Foundation’s partnership with MIT Solve for the Social Impact Award, and the first time the Award has recognized an external organization.

Bringing care closer to communities

Muso’s Rapid Care model combines professional community health workers, doorstep care, strengthened primary-care clinics and the removal of out-of-pocket fees. Digital tools support frontline teams with care guidance, supervision and data, while connecting with national health systems. Muso reports reaching nearly 600,000 people directly across 39 sites in Mali and Côte d’Ivoire, with the model also reaching more than 12 million people through government-led scale-up.
