Philips Foundation supports Red Cross program in Spain

Philips Foundation supports the ‘Red Cross Responds’ program in Spain to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and provide access to quality medical care for the most disadvantaged communities.

Madrid, Spain – For the establishment of hospitals and infrastructure to help the homeless, and for the distribution of blankets and other essentials, Philips Foundation made a financial contribution to the Spanish Red Cross Responds program. In addition, Philips Iberia is donating primary personal care and domestic appliances products to field hospitals. 

 

The ‘Red Cross Responds’ program is the largest mobilization of resources, capabilities and people in the organization’s history in Spain. The aim is that almost one million people will receive care and telephone support, 25,000 families will receive essential goods, 16,000 people will be supported in employment, and 3,000 homeless people will have a place to sleep.
